Founder and owner of the Fritz Duda Company, a privately held real estate development company with offices in Dallas , Texas , Newport Beach , California , and Chicago , Illinois. Mr. Duda has served on the boards of a number of private and public companies.   He was a founding investor and director of HMI Acquisitions and, subsequently, The Vons Companies, Inc. from 1985 to 1997 when the company was merged with Safeway. 

He served on the University of Notre Dame College of Engineering and Architecture Advisory Council from 1991 to 1997 and was named a Trustee of the University in 1997.  He served six years on the Advisory Council for Notre Dame’s School of Architecture , chaired the Facilities and Campus Planning Committee from 2000 to 2007 and currently serves on the Investment Committee.  He was a recipient of an honorary doctorate of laws degree from the University in 2009.  He is a Trustee of the University of California ’s Hastings College of Law 1066 Foundation and is a member of the Knights of Malta.

Mr. Duda is a graduate of the University of California ’s Hastings College of the Law, where he received his L.L.B. and J.D. degree in 1964 and is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association.



Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Jack A. (Drew) Keith is responsible for coordinating operations and development activities with finance and reporting for properties owned and/or managed by Fritz Duda Company.  Mr. Keith works closely with Genus Holdings, LLC, and the Duda family’s holding company, on its real estate asset management and strategic investments.

Prior to joining Fritz Duda Company, Mr. Keith was Vice President - Finance & Chief Strategy Officer with Bright Industries, LLC.  Bright Industries held operating companies in commercial banking, energy exploration and production, truck leasing, homebuilding, and real estate development and management, including hospitality. Mr. Keith managed extensive financial and corporate restructuring in 2008 through 2010, including the sale of subsidiary companies.  Mr. Keith placed financing for Bright Industries’ energy, homebuilding, and real estate development companies, including extensive bond financing related to property development, residential property development, commercial retail development, private club financing and Bright Realty’s first multi-family project.  Mr. Keith served on the board of all of Bright Industries’ subsidiaries and was heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of Bright Realty.

In late 1999 Mr. Keith became Vice President  & Chief Financial Officer for the publicly held global transportation company Kitty Hawk, Inc. (air freight, hub & spoke network, etc.)  Kitty Hawk entered bankruptcy in early 2000, and Mr. Keith was instrumental in leading Kitty Hawk through bankruptcy from which it successfully emerged in late 2002, re-established as a public entity.  Mr. Keith left Kitty Hawk in 2004 and subsequently joined the Allied Pilots Association (APA), the captive pilots union for American Airlines, as its Director of Industry Analysis.  Mr. Keith provided advice and analysis to the leadership of the APA, was extensively involved with the APA’s contract negotiations, and the APA’s support of AMR Corps Performance Leadership Initiative (PLI).

Through the 1980's, Mr. Keith was a project manager in the construction industry, primarily in retail and commercial office building.  From the late 1980s through 1999, Mr. Keith was a commercial banker with Wells Fargo Bank.  Mr. Keith has extensive experience with troubled asset restructuring, including large corporations, and was a relationship manager/production officer in the latter half of his banking career in Dallas, Texas. 

Mr. Keith currently serves as a director of Texas Security Bank in Dallas, of which he was also a founder.  Mr. Keith holds a Construction Management degree from the University of Florida, and has completed post-graduate courses in finance and credit analysis. 



Paul C. Bernard graduated from California Polytechnic University at Pomona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Real Estate & Law. Mr. Bernard serves as Vice President of the Western Region for Fritz Duda Company based in Newport Beach, California.  Mr. Bernard oversees the day to day operations of Fritz Duda properties in California and Reno which include shopping centers, office buildings and multi-family projects.  Mr. Bernard also leads the Western Regions new development projects and acquisitions strategies.

Prior to joining the Fritz Duda Company in 2015, Mr. Bernard was the President of Triton Realty Advisors, a firm focused on advising commercial real estate owners, developers and investors on real estate strategies maximizing investment goals.  Mr. Bernard also acted as Executive Vice President/Development Manager for Eclipse Development Group from 1999-2012 handling ground up and rehab development projects for the Company.

Mr. Bernard has been active in coaching Little League and travel baseball and participated in his local Challenger Program focusing on baseball for special needs children.  Mr. Bernard is also a member of ICSC and on the Board of The Cone Family Foundation, an organization based on granting to smaller domestic charities focused on giving and service.


Tom Fanning graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree from the School of Architecture.  In 2013 he joined the Fritz Duda Company as a Project Manager.  He uses his background in architecture, construction, and management to help create overall development strategy and realize individual projects.

Prior to joining Fritz Duda Company, Tom worked in his hometown of Seattle with PB Architects.  During his time there, he worked on master planning, designing, and managing the implementation of various sized mixed-use, commercial, and residential developments from feasibility through completion.

Tom is a member of the American Institute of Architects, United States Green Building Council, International Council for Shopping Centers, and the Urban Land Institute.



Matt Frederickson graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication.  Matt serves as the Property Manager for Fritz Duda Company properties located in California and Nevada.

Prior to joining the Fritz Duda Company in 2014, Matt worked as an Asset Manager for Mobilitie. He has been in the Real Estate Management field for over 10 years with previous employment with The Irvine Company and Regency Centers.  Matt is active with the International Council of Shopping Centers and obtained a Certified Shopping Center Manager designation from the organization in 2014.
